handle with care

i went to the emergency room on tuesday.  i woke up with a ache in my eye.  i didn't think anything of it, as i usually do.  just thought i slept on it funny, maybe slept on my hand or something, ya know.

i went to work, my boss noticed that there was something weird going on with my eyes.  i was having trouble blinking my right eye, unless i made a conscience effort to blink it.  then she had me do these other regular, very natural motions with my face.  i could not move the right side of my face.

i called my mom, she took me to the emergency room right away and i was diagnosed with bell's palsy, a form of paralysis of the face due to an irritation to the facial nerve.  i was the third case this week for the hospital i went to, which even they thought was a lot.

the doc had me take a cat scan, which came back clear and sent me home with two prescriptions.  one for a steroid and one fore a anti-viral medication.  i am ingesting huge amounts of medicine into my system with hopes that it will help, however, there is no proof that the medication helps with the cure of bell's palsy.
